The renovation project of the front outdoor area has started and will run through early September. The Library’s front pavers have been buckling over the past several years due to the tree roots from the large concrete planters. This has become a safety issue for patrons. To remedy this concern and to update the outside front of the building and to tie it in to the plans and aesthetics for the Klein Creek Overlook project, Upland Design was hired to create a cohesive plan for the front of the Library.

The completed project will include:

  • stamped concrete

  • stepping paths

  • natural stone

  • steel sculptures

  • natural plantings

  • benches and

  • planters.

  • It will also include a new bike rack area with bike tools.

The existing Memorial pavers will be relocated to the west sidewalk area. This is an exciting project and will complement the other existing outdoor areas on the Library property and surrounding areas.

The project will be done in phases and an alternative entrance/exit to the building will need to be used.

During the project, Curbside Pick-up Service will not be available. Patrons with mobility issues are encouraged to utilize the Library’s Homebound Delivery service

The bike racks may also not be available for parking and locking bicycles.
