Why I wanted to be a Library trustee:
We’re living in a time of uncertainty and division, making community and open communication more important than ever. The library serves as a vital space where people can come together, exchange ideas, and seek out reliable information. I wanted to give back by supporting an institution that plays such a meaningful role in connecting and strengthening our community.
What I love about Carol Stream:
My family and I have been proud to call Carol Stream home for the past 26 years. We’ve had the privilege of raising our daughter here since she was just five months old. We truly value the community’s diversity, low crime rate, strong sense of civic pride, and the welcoming, friendly spirit of its residents.
Besides being a Board member, I'm involved in the community in the following ways:
I am on the board for the DuPage Organic Garden Club and am active in a number of other garden and environment groups in the area. I was actively involved in planting native plants by Klein Creek and have participated in food drives.
My favorite thing about our library:
The Carol Stream Library staff has always been extremely helpful and kind. The DuPage Garden Club has been having their meetings there for many years and the library has been very supportive every step of the way.
My all-time favorite things to read, watch, or listen to:
I have always enjoyed science fiction and non-fiction science-based books, movies and programs.
