Paws for Reading (Offsite)

Research shows that kids who read to certified, reading therapy dogs improve their oral reading fluency and their reading confidence. Sign up for a 15-minute time slot to read one-on-one to a special canine companion. Space is limited and parental permission is required. Register at the Librarians' Desk.

Smart Cookie Book Club (Offsite)

Does your 3rd-5th grader love to read and talk about books? Are they always looking for their next book? This month we’ll be reading the book A Boy Called Bat by Elana K. Arnold. Sign up for the book club to receive your free copy and join us at Panera Bread for great discussions and cookies!

Homeschool Hangout: Nature Walk (Library)

Let’s explore the great outdoors! Join other homeschool families as we pay special attention to the nature all around us and make observations about what we see and hear. Dress for an outside walk! Weather permitting.

We'll meet at the Library and walk to Armstrong Park together.

One More Chapter Book Club (Offsite)

If you’ve ever said, “I’ll just read one more chapter!”, this is the club for you! Join us as we munch on Panera cookies and talk about Small Spaces by Katherine Arden. This is a creepy read! Get a free copy at the Youth Services Desk.

Fancy Feet (Offsite)

Got boogie fever? Need to shake a tail feather? Students will learn dance fundamentals, work on their musicality and rhythm, and use their imagination through creative movement. This is a great way for boys and girls to gain exposure to dance and music, practice some basic motor skills, and have FUN! Parents must remain in the room.
