Carol Stream Public Library puts the safety of our patrons and staff above all. As of February 28, 2022, the Governor has lifted the indoor mask mandate. At the Library, masks must still be worn during high risk hours (Monday-Friday, 9-10 a.m.) and while attending indoor programs. Otherwise, masks are recommended but not required.
Visitors are encouraged, but not required, to wear a mask and maintain social distancing when using our seating areas. Staff are still regularly cleaning high-traffic touchpoints throughout the building. Curbside Pickup (for library materials, Binge Boxes, and print jobs) continues to be offered during most hours we are open.
Library leadership carefully considered community transmission rates, decisions by local organizations, and recommendations by the CDC and IDPH while making these decisions. We appreciate everyone’s patience and commitment to keeping our community safe.
