Library Closing

The Library will be closed all day on Friday, August 23 due to renovation construction and staff training. We will reopen for normal hours on Saturday, August 24.

The Carol Stream Public Library accepted bids for 17 different bid packages related to Interior Renovations and Site Work and Furniture for the upcoming remodel from December 17, 2018 until January 15, 2019. Library Interior Renovation and Site Work Legal Bid Notices

REQUEST FOR BIDS

Carol Stream Public Library will be accepting sealed lump sum bids for Bid Package #1 Interior Renovations & Site Work, at the existing Library, 616 Hiawatha Drive, Carol Stream, IL. 60188. The following bid packages are: BP#1-02—Selective Demolition; BP#1-03—Concrete/Earthwork; BP#1-04—Masonry; BP#1-05—Steel; BP#1-06a—Carpentry/General Trades; BP#1-06b—Millwork/Casework; BP#1-08—Glass/Glazing; BP#1-09a—Ceramic Tile; BP#1-09b—Acoustical Ceilings/Treatments; BP#1-09c—Resilient Flooring/Carpet; BP#1-09d—Painting; BP#1-21—Fire Sprinkler; BP#1-22—Plumbing; BP#1-23—HVAC; BP#1-26—Electrical/Low Voltage; BP#1-32a—Decorative Metal Railing; BP#1-32b—Unit Pavers.

Carol Stream Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept the bid from the lowest responsive, responsible bidder which is considered to be in the best interest of the Library. All bids are to be in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders as noted in the Project Manual. All bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond equal to 10% of the bid amount, and the successful bidder will also be required to furnish a 100% Payment and Performance Bond as noted in the Bid Documents.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Friday – January 4th, 2019, at 8:00 AM at the Library, 616 Hiawatha Drive, Carol Stream, IL. 60188. All prospective bidders are highly recommended to attend.

Sealed bids will be received until Tuesday – January 15th, 2019 until the hour of 2:00 PM and then, at that time, publicly opened and read at:

Library Interior Renovation Furniture Legal Bid Notice

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID/LEGAL NOTICE

The Carol Stream Public Library is accepting sealed bids for the Carol Stream Public Library Renovation for FURNITURE. Bid packet information can be obtained from Architect, Product Architecture + Design (773)398-7286 or tnash@product-architects.com. Sealed bids are due and will be opened January 15th at 2pm at the Library located at 616 Hiawatha Drive, Carol Stream IL 60188. Carol Stream Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities, technicalities of the bid and any non-responsive bid in the interest of the Carol Stream Public Library.
