As the Library enters an important time of growth and expansion, the Friends will play a vital role in reaching out to the Community in support of the Library. Current activities include sponsoring the perpetual book sale. Located in the Library lobby, browsers can find a wide variety of books for children and adults. All funds collected by the Friends are used to benefit the Library.
If you are interested in a membership in the Friends of Carol Stream Public Library, please call Ann Kennedy, Library Director, at 653-0755.
The Friends is a non-profit organization which provides support for the Library through membership fees, fund-raising events, and special projects.
They create community support for existing Library programs.
They provide direct financial help and volunteer assistance.
They sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community.
They encourage gifts, memorials, and endowments.
Being a Friend gives one the chance to contribute to the growth and well-being of our community and to share experiences with others who value the Library's contributions to out lives.
